Student Visa Application

• You should not start your student visa application until the visa tab is available on your application portal.
  You are required to submit a separate student visa application with CUHK even if you have submitted one with another institution in Hong Kong. For more details, please refer to Q13 of the FAQ below.

• If applicants wish to pursue undergraduate studies at our University, they must apply for a student visa/entry permit to study in Hong Kong via our University as sponsor.  The student visa is University specific and Programme specific.  Applicants are responsible for obtaining the student visa/entry permit in time.  The application process will take up to 8 weeks at the Immigration Department of the HKSAR Government (the Immigration Department) from the date when all information required by the Immigration Department is available.

• Once you become eligible for student visa application, a visa tab will be available on the application portal. Please check the application portal regularly and complete your student visa application by the stipulated deadline.

• When you become eligible to collect your student visa, you will be notified on the application portal. DO NOT collect it prior to official notification from CUHK.
